“The Making of Lonesome Dove” Photo Exhibit

“The Making of Lonesome Dove” exhibit features more than 50 photos by screenwriter and photographer Bill Wittliff. The exhibit opens on April 27 at 3 pm. Glenn MorelandĀ and his chuckwagon will be in front of the library from 4-6 with free *cowboy cobbler and ice cream. Meet historian Lonn Taylor, cowboy poetry specialist Dr. Nelson Sager, women’s history lecturer Kendra DeHart, and original movie cast member Barry Tubb.

This traveling exhibit was made possible in part by a grant from Humanities Texas, the state affiliate of theĀ National Endowment for the Arts, and underwriting sponsors Karen and Karl Rove.

*Free cowboy cobbler & ice cream available to the first 100 people. Get your ticket for free cobbler and ice cream inside the library when you tour the exhibition.
