Ride for Reading — Back by Popular Demand
Come join in the fun on Friday, May 9th when children at Dirks-Anderson Elementary School celebrate National Ride for Reading Day. A team of volunteers will assemble at Memorial Square and fill their backpacks with books to bring to over one hundred school kids. They will bike their way to the school and be greeted in the gymnasium where the children can select free books donated by Better World Books. This event is sponsored by Friends of the Jeff Davis County Library.
There is still time to be a bicyclist or help in any way by phoning Elaine Harmon at 426-3164.
